Background
Mr. Fukushima joined NXLRIC in 2012 as a board member and the General Manager of Logistics Consulting Division. He spent 4 years on the Board and is currently an advisor of NXLRIC. He is one of the top experts of heavy equipment transport in Japan.
He started his career at Nippon Express, NXLRIC’s parent company, in 1978. He has completed many difficult project cargo shipments of heavy equipment (100 – 3,000 tons) such as electric power stations, oil refineries and dams worldwide. His responsibilities include initial planning, route setting, reinforcement of route (e.g. bridge) and instruction of shipment and installation. At NXLRIC, he consulted and helped aircraft manufacture Bombardier successfully ship aircraft wings from UK to Canada.
For 3 years from 1990, he had a temporary transfer to Logistics Technology and Information Center of Ministry of Transport (then), and with his extensive engineering background, he helped development and launch of “Logistics EDI” system.
He holds BSc in Civil Engineering from Niigata University. He is a Professional Engineer (P.E. Jp) in Civil Engineering, a First-class Registered Architect and a First-Class Civil Engineering Works Execution Managing Engineer.
