Background

Mr. Mine joined NXLRIC in 1993. He was mainly engaged in research surveys of land transport, i.e. motor vehicle and rail. These include environmental burden reduction, such as low-emission vehicles and environmental tax, demand and supply analysis of rail freight transport and promotion of modal shift. Other than land transport, he has experience in promotion of cargo handling at ports and intermodal transport research surveys.

When the Great East Japan Earthquake hit in 2011, he was responsible for the field survey of relief goods supply. He analyzed a set of challenges for various factors, such as transport, cargo handling and information, in the event of an earthquake. He has been involved in the research of relief goods supply chain ever since.

He holds BA in History from Okayama University and MA in Geography from Rissho University.
